01What is a QR code business card?
A QR code business card is a digital business card shared through a QR code. The code holds the address of your card page. Scanning it with the phone camera opens the page in the browser, where the other person can call you, message you or save you to their contacts.
02Why the QR code should point to a page
Some QR codes contain the contact details themselves (a vCard QR code). They work, but every change means a new code and new prints, and the dense code is harder to scan.
An OSSDOY QR code points to your card page instead. The code never changes while the details behind it can be updated at any time, and it stays small and easy to scan because it only holds a short address.
03How to create your QR code
Your QR code is ready as soon as your card is:
- Create your OSSDOY account and add your card.
- Fill in your contact details, links, bank and invoice information.
- Open My Cards and choose the QR code of your card.
- Download it as PNG for messages and social media, or as SVG for print.
The virtual business card is shared by QR code and link. The NFC card adds a physical card with a QR code printed on it.
04Where to use your QR code
Put the code wherever people meet you or your business:
- E-mail signature: every e-mail you send carries your full card.
- Presentations and webinars: put it on the last slide so the audience can save you.
- Desk, counter or shop window: a small stand lets customers scan while they wait.
- Fair stands and posters: visitors scan from a distance, without queueing for a card.
- Printed materials: brochures, catalogues, packaging and paper business cards.
- Video calls: share it on screen or hold it up to the camera.
05Tips for a QR code that scans every time
Before you print in bulk, check these points:
- Print it at least 2 × 2 cm, and larger if it will be scanned from a distance.
- Keep a dark code on a light background and leave a clear margin around it.
- Use the SVG file for print so the edges stay sharp.
- Test it with a couple of different phones.
06QR code or NFC?
Both open the same card page. A QR code works on every phone with a camera and costs nothing to print. An NFC card is faster in person: one tap, no camera needed. That is why the OSSDOY NFC card carries both.
